Cautions & Contraindications
- Contraindicated in Yin Deficiency with Fire and active bleeding ulcers. Caution in first trimester of pregnancy.

Mechanism & Phytochemistry
1. Zerumbone directly inhibits IKK/NF-kB p65 activation, suppressing TNF-a, IL-1b, COX-2, and iNOS. 2. Upregulates gastric mucosal PGE2 and SOD, protecting mucosal integrity. 3. Induces apoptosis in colorectal and hepatic cancer cell lines via Bax/Bcl-2 modulation.
Preparation & Dosage
Sliced dried rhizome decocted 15-20 minutes: 6-15 g daily. Standardized extract: 250-500 mg. Topical warming oil for abdominal binding.
