    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Do not consume continuously for >14 days (CYP450 upregulation may accelerate clearance of prescription medications; separate by 2-3h). CONTRAINDICATED in active pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Agricultural pesticide exposure (organophosphates, Paraquat intoxication adjuvant), heavy metal chelation (Lead, Cadmium, Arsenic), acute alcohol intoxication/hangover, and drug-induced liver injury (DILI).

    Quality Markers

    Rosmarinic Acid >= 2.00%-3.50%, Grandifloroside >= 1.00% & Thunbergin (HPLC Thai Pharmacopoeia standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Rosmarinic acid upregulates hepatic GST and glutathione (GSH > 300%), halting toxic lipid peroxidation and caspase-3 apoptosis. 2. Catechol moieties chelate divalent heavy metals. 3. Protects AChE from organophosphates.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE NATIONAL THAI RANG CHUET DETOX TEA PROTOCOL (Cha Rang Chuet): 5 to 10 g dried shredded leaves steeped in 300 mL boiling water for 15 min; taken warm 3x daily for 3-7 days for chemical or alcohol exposure. Standardized extract: 500-1000 mg twice daily.
