    Bengal Clockvine (Akar Kerayong / Da Hua Lao Ya Zui). Massive canopy liana with large lavender-blue trumpets. Celebrated rainforest remedy for neutralizing venomous snakebites and centipede stings, quelling asthmatic wheezing, and promoting fracture callus.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • In venomous snakebites, herbal remedies are strictly adjuvant to antivenom and emergency hospitalization. CONTRAINDICATED in active pregnancy due to downward-draining movement.

    Clinical Applications

    • Adjuvant snakebite and arthropod sting detox, bronchial asthma and spastic cough, closed traumatic fractures with hematoma, rheumatoid arthritis, and lumbar strain.

    Grandifloric Acid, Grandifloroside >= 1.50% & Iridoid Glucosides (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Grandifloric acid and iridoids inhibit venom phospholipase A2 (PLA2) and hyaluronidase, preventing tissue necrosis. 2. Flavonoids antagonize histamine H1 and leukotriene D4 to resolve bronchospasm.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN SNAKEBITE & FRACTURE POULTICE: 50 g fresh leaves pounded with salt and rice wine into a dense paste; applied around cleansed bite punctures or immobilized fracture sites. Internal decoction: 15 to 30 g dried vine/root chips boiled in 600 mL water.

    • 1. Sovereign Snakebite Detox Compound with Elephantopus scaber (Tutup Bumi) and Andrographis. 2. Callus-Forming Bone-Knitting Plaster with Drynaria roosii (Gu Sui Bu).
