    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Drink abundant clean water (>=2.5 L daily) during stone expulsion therapy. CONTRAINDICATED in active pregnancy for high-dose decoctions (channel-moving dynamics). Safe in lactation.

    Clinical Applications

    • Urolithiasis and nephrolithiasis (calcium oxalate crystal aggregation inhibition and ureteral smooth muscle relaxation), acute viral hepatitis, chronic knee osteoarthritis, and dysentery.

    Quality Markers

    Wogonin (汉黄芩素) >= 0.60%, Betulinic Acid >= 0.80% & Silica Minerals (HPLC ChP/MHM standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Wogonin and potassium salts inhibit calcium oxalate crystal aggregation and relax ureteral muscle to flush calculi. 2. Betulinic acid upregulates hepatic GSH/SOD to clear jaundice. 3. Cartilage MMP-13 suppression.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN MEMPELAS URINARY STONE EXPULSION DECOCTION: 25 to 40 g dried woody liana chips boiled with Misai Kucing (20 g) and Guang Jin Qian Cao in 800 mL water for 25 min; taken warm twice daily (maintain >=2.5 L water intake). Leaves for hepatitis: 20 g.
