    Cautions & Contraindications

    • COLLECT NATURALLY FALLEN DRY AMBER-RED LEAVES ONLY (do not harvest green living leaves; fallen leaves develop active punicalagin and beneficial humic tannins). High safety profile.

    Clinical Applications

    • Chronic hepatitis and chemically induced hepatic injury (ALT/AST reduction via Punicalagin), Type 2 Diabetes mellitus (insulin sensitization), and aquatic/human dermatological ulcer healing.

    Quality Markers

    Punicalagin A & B >= 5.00%-8.00%, Punicalin, Catappanin A & B & Total Polyphenols >= 25.0%-35.0% in fallen red leaves (HPLC)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Punicalagin and catappanins quench reactive oxygen species and inhibit hepatic NF-kB/TGF-b1, halting liver fibrosis. 2. Ellagitannins inhibit intestinal a-glucosidase. 3. Tannins cross-link skin ulcer proteins.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN KETAPANG HEPATOPROTECTIVE TEA: 1 to 2 naturally fallen amber-red leaves (10-15 g) boiled in 500 mL water for 15 min until deep tea-colored; drunk warm daily for liver health. Edible almond nuts: 20-30 g roasted kernels.
