    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Ensure postpartum bathwater is comfortably warm (38-40C). High clinical, maternal, pediatric, and dermatological safety profile. Safe in lactation. Contraindicated in cold watery diarrhea.

    Clinical Applications

    • Postpartum puerperal fever and maternal joint chills (herbal bath therapy), superficial thermal burns and refractory ulcers (mucilaginous re-epithelialization), and acute tracheobronchitis.

    Hibiscolactones A & B, Gossypol, Quercetin-3-O-glucoside & Mucilage Polysaccharides >= 1.50% (HPLC MHM standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Branched mucilage arabinogalactans swell into a soothing hydrocolloid barrier, suppressing evaporative fluid loss and stimulating VEGF. 2. Hibiscolactones downregulate TNF-a/IL-1b. 3. Anti-staphylococcal membrane lysis.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN BEBARU POSTPARTUM BATH (Mandian Daun Baru): 100 to 150 g fresh leaves boiled with Vitex negundo (Lemuni) and lemongrass in 5 L water for 20 min; diluted into warm bathwater for maternal recovery baths. Topical boil poultice: 30 g pounded fresh leaves.
