    Orange Pagoda (Jelutong Badak / Cheng Hua Gou Ya Hua). Paired bright orange-red follicular fruits bursting with scarlet pulp. Sovereign for healing tropical skin ulcers, numbing severe toothaches, soothing stomach ulcers, and dissolving lymph swellings.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Contains monoterpene indole alkaloids (adhere to recommended dosages; do not exceed 20 g daily). Avoid direct contact of milky sap with eyes. Contraindicated during active pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Tropical chronic skin ulcers and wound granulation, acute periodontal toothache, functional gastric ulcer cytoprotection, and scrofulous lymphadenitis.

    Quality Markers

    Coronaridine (冠狗牙花定) >= 0.50%, Voacangine, Ibogamine & Total Indole Alkaloids >= 1.50% (HPLC MHM standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Coronaridine and iboga-type alkaloids inhibit peripheral nociceptive signaling, providing rapid topical analgesia. 2. Stimulates fibroblast collagen synthesis to accelerate wound healing. 3. Broad-spectrum bactericidal lysis.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN JELUTONG BADAK ULCER-HEALING POULTICE: 30 to 50 g fresh leaves crushed into pulp applied directly over chronic skin ulcers and boils. Toothache dot: 1 drop milky sap placed into cavity. Bark decoction: 10-15 g dried bark for gastric pain.
