    Water Apple (Jambu Air / Shui Pu Tao / Bell Fruit). Crisp bell-shaped translucent watery fruits. Supreme tropical heat-clearing nectar: extinguishes summer heatstroke thirst, generates saliva, lowers blood sugar, astringes dysentery, heals cracked tongue.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Consume firm crisp fresh fruits with intact waxy skin. High culinary, dietary, and pediatric safety profile. Safe in pregnancy (relieves morning thirst) and lactation. Contraindicated in spastic constipation.

    Clinical Applications

    • Summer heat dehydration and febrile polydipsia, Type 2 Diabetes thirst (postprandial glycemic blunting), acute pharyngitis with dry tickling cough, and cracked tongue/stomatitis.

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. High structured moisture (92%) and potassium rapidly restore intracellular hydration. 2. Myricitrin and vescalagin inhibit intestinal a-glucosidase and stimulate GLUT4. 3. Tannins astringe oral mucosa.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN JAMBU AIR SUMMER-HEAT NECTAR: 3 to 5 fresh crisp fruits (200 g) crushed into fresh juice, mixed with calamansi lime and honey; drunk chilled for dehydration and summer fever. Bark decoction for dysentery/mouthwash: 15-30 g dried bark.
