    Cautions & Contraindications

    Clinical Applications

    • Primary hepatocellular carcinoma and gastric carcinoma (apoptosis induction via Solamargine and Uttroside B), acute glomerulonephritis with edema, acute bacterial cystitis, and cutaneous boils.

    Quality Markers

    Solamargine >= 0.30%, Solasonine, Uttroside B & Total Steroidal Alkaloid Glycosides >= 1.00% (HPLC ChP standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Uttroside B (10x more potent than sorafenib) and solamargine induce caspase-dependent apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in HepG2 liver cancer cells. 2. Potassium salts and bioflavonoids drive renal diuresis.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN LONG KUI ONCOLOGY FORMULA: 30 to 60 g dried herb boiled with Bai Hua She She Cao and Scutellaria barbata in 1 L water for 40 min; taken daily for gastrointestinal/liver cancer adjuvant care. Cooked culinary Ulam (Leunca): 50-100 g boiled.
