    Black Sugarcane (Tebu Hitam / Gan Zhe). Deep purple-black jointed culms filled with sweet cooling juice. Supreme Natural Fluid Restorative (Tian Sheng Fu Mai Tang): extinguishes burning febrile thirst, generates saliva, calms morning vomiting, detoxifies alcohol.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • MOLDY SUGARCANE TOXICITY WARNING: NEVER CONSUME MOLDY SUGARCANE (reddish-brown inner pith contains lethal 3-nitropropionic acid causing neurotoxicity). CONTRAINDICATED in diabetes.

    Clinical Applications

    • Post-febrile extreme dehydration and parched mouth, gestational morning sickness with dry retching, acute alcohol intoxication hangover, dry heat-induced tracheobronchial cough, and dysuria.

    Quality Markers

    Octacosanol (二十八烷醇) >= 0.50%, Policosanol, Bioavailable Iron, Sucrose & Antioxidant Flavonoids (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Natural sucrose, electrolytes, and organic iron immediately restore plasma osmolality and cellular glycogen. 2. Policosanols downregulate hepatic HMG-CoA reductase. 3. Accelerates hepatic acetaldehyde clearance.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN BLACK SUGARCANE FLUID-RESTORING JUICE (Tian Sheng Fu Mai Tang): Express 150 to 250 mL fresh Black Sugarcane juice, blend with 10 mL fresh ginger juice (Halia Bara); taken warm in small sips for vomiting and parched throat. Decoct: 50-100 g sliced canes.
