Cautions & Contraindications
- Powerful astringent; internal overuse causes constipation. STRICTLY CONTRAINDICATED in acute un-cleared dysentery or active pelvic inflammatory infections.

- Postpartum vaginal wall laxity, pelvic organ prolapse, chronic leukorrhea, MRSA and Candida albicans dysbiosis, bleeding hemorrhoids, and ulcerative gingivitis.

Mechanism & Phytochemistry
1. High-molecular gallotannins (50-70%) precipitate surface mucosal proteins, forming a protective impermeable barrier that physically tightens tissue and cross-links dermal collagen. 2. Gallic acid and ellagic acid lyse bacterial walls of MRSA and Gardnerella (MIC 0.4-0.8 mg/mL). 3. Inhibits pelvic MMP-2 and MMP-9.
Preparation & Dosage
Dried galls in decoction: 3-10 g daily. YeMama Intimate Postpartum Wash / Sitz Bath: 10-15 g crushed galls boiled in 1 L water. Topical micro-powder: 0.5-1.5 g.
