    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Proanthocyanidins bind viral envelope glycoproteins, blocking cellular attachment in influenza and herpes viruses. 2. Non-competitively inhibits brush-border a-glucosidase (IC50=1.25 ug/mL). 3. Tannin astringent mucosal barrier.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN KASAI ANTIVIRAL & GLYCEMIC BARK DECOCTION: 15 to 30 g dried bark chips boiled in 600 mL water for 25 min; taken in 2 divided doses daily for viral fevers or diabetes. Fresh ripe Matoa arils: 5-10 fruits daily as superfruit.
