    Traditional Edict

    Creeping Woodsorrel (Sikap Dada / Zhu Jiang Cao / Semanggi). Trifoliate heart-shaped sour leaves and yellow flowers. Clears Liver damp-heat to drain acute viral hepatitis jaundice (Tui Huang), dissipates traumatic bruises, stops dysentery, heals throat burns.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • OXALIC ACID KIDNEY STONE CONTRAINDICATION: High potassium bioxalate content. CONTRAINDICATED in patients with calcium oxalate kidney stones (nephrolithiasis), hyperoxaluria, and gout. Avoid massive raw doses.

    Clinical Applications

    • Acute icteric viral hepatitis (normalizing serum ALT/AST and total bilirubin), acute bacterial dysentery (Shigella), acute cystitis, traumatic contusions, and throat ulcers.

    Quality Markers

    Isovitexin >= 0.50%, Potassium Hydrogen Oxalate >= 5.00% & Tartaric/Malic Acids (HPLC MHM standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Isovitexin stabilizes hepatocyte microsomal membranes and upregulates canalicular BSEP/MRP2 transport, accelerating bilirubin clearance. 2. Potassium bioxalate and tartaric acids lower luminal pH for bactericidal lysis. 3. Swertisin anti-inflammatory.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN FRESH SIKAP DADA JAUNDICE-DRAINING JUICE: 50 to 100 g fresh whole plant blended with water, expressed through linen, sweetened with honey; taken on empty stomach for jaundice. Whole herb decoction: 15-30 g daily. Burn poultice: 50 g fresh plant.
