    Traditional Edict

    Mile-a-Minute (Selaput Tunggul / Wei Gan Ju). Fast-climbing vine with heart-shaped leaves and fragrant white flower heads. Sovereign 30-second emergency wound-hemostatic leaf paste that stanches bleeding machete cuts, neutralizes snakebites, stops dysentery.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Wash wild leaves thoroughly before applying to open wounds. High clinical safety in external emergency use. Contraindicated in cold watery diarrhea without heat-toxin.

    Clinical Applications

    • Acute traumatic bleeding cuts/lacerations (rapid platelet aggregation and fibrin clotting), venomous snakebite and wasp stings, acute bacillary dysentery (Shigella), and suppurative boils.

    Quality Markers

    Mikanolide >= 1.00%, Dihydromikanolide & Sesquiterpene Lactones >= 2.50% (HPLC MHM standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Mikanolide and sesquiterpene lactones precipitate plasma fibrinogen and accelerate prothrombin activation, arresting capillary bleeding in 30s. 2. Non-competitively inhibits snake venom PLA2 and hyaluronidase. 3. Broad-spectrum bactericidal lysis.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN 30-SECOND EMERGENCY HEMOSTATIC PASTE: 10-15 fresh leaves crushed between palms or pounded into juicy green pulp pressed directly over bleeding cuts. Whole herb decoction: 10-20 g daily for dysentery and fever. Topical wash: 30-50 g.
