    Traditional Edict

    Scale-Flower Herb (Pokok Sisik / Rumput Sisik Tenggiling). Curved spikes with overlapping pangolin-like scales. Sovereign Orang Asli antivenomous poultice (Penawar Patukan Ular) for snakebites, stops bleeding, clears tonsillitis, heals dysentery.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Topical herbal antivenoms are vital field first-aid stabilizers; THEY DO NOT REPLACE MEDICAL HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ANTIVENOM SERUM THERAPY. Contraindicated in cold watery diarrhea.

    Clinical Applications

    • Venomous snakebite envenomation (neutralizing localized phospholipase A2 dermonecrosis and tissue edema), acute bacillary dysentery (Shigella), acute follicular tonsillitis, and traumatic cuts.

    Quality Markers

    Lepidagathin, Lupeol, Stigmasterol & Apigenin-7-O-glucoside >= 1.00% (HPLC MHM standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Lepidagathin and lupeol competitively inhibit snake venom toxic phospholipase A2 (PLA2) enzymes, preventing cell membrane lysis and halting tissue necrosis. 2. Apigenin downregulates iNOS and TNF-a. 3. Antidysenteric bactericidal action.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN ORANG ASLI EMERGENCY SNAKEBITE POULTICE: 50 g fresh plant with scaly spikes pounded with rice wine applied thickly around snakebites (30 mL fresh expressed juice taken orally). Dried herb decoction: 15-30 g daily.
