    Traditional Edict

    Button Plant (Knobweed / Pokok Butang). Spherical knob flower heads. Sovereign 60-second emergency hemostatic leaf (Ubat Luka) that halts bleeding lacerations, knits wounds, draws pus from boils, and stops stomach colic.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Wash wild roadside leaves thoroughly before applying to open wounds. High clinical safety. Contraindicated in cold watery diarrhea without heat signs.

    Clinical Applications

    • Acute traumatic bleeding cuts/lacerations (rapid fibrin clotting), superficial infected dermal ulcers (S. aureus biofilm inhibition), acute gastroenteritis, and atopic dermatitis.

    Quality Markers

    Ursolic Acid >= 1.00%, Oleanolic Acid, Rosmarinic Acid & b-Caryophyllene (HPLC/GC-MS MHM standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Ursolic and oleanolic acids precipitate plasma fibrinogen and accelerate prothrombin activation, arresting capillary bleeding in 60s. 2. Rosmarinic acid selectively inhibits COX-2 and iNOS, accelerating collagen deposition. 3. Antimicrobial membrane lysis.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN 60-SECOND KNOBWEED HEMOSTATIC LEAF PASTE: 5-10 fresh leaves pounded into juicy pulp pressed directly over bleeding cuts. Whole herb decoction: 10-20 g daily for stomach cramps and fever. Topical wash: 30-50 g.
