    Traditional Edict

    Scented Hopea (Merawan Siput Jantan). Towing riverine tree exuding amber Dammar Mata Kucing resin. Supreme astringent for locking loose teeth into spongy gums (Gu Chi Hu Yin), arresting bleeding, stopping chronic dysentery, and healing ulcers.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Do not administer internally in early-stage acute dysentery before heat-toxin drains. Contraindicated in spastic constipation and impacted dry stools. High safety in dental use.

    Clinical Applications

    • Chronic periodontitis (Porphyromonas gingivalis T3SS inhibition), gingival bleeding, recurrent aphthous stomatitis, acute/chronic bacillary dysentery, and solid tumor metastasis suppression.

    Quality Markers

    Hopeaphenol (Resveratrol Tetramer) >= 1.00%, Dammar Resin & Condensed Tannins >= 5.00% (HPLC MHM standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Hopeaphenol resveratrol tetramer blocks Type III Secretion Systems (T3SS) in P. gingivalis and inhibits human MMP-8 collagenase, firming loose teeth into alveolar bone. 2. Condensed tannins cross-link proteins to arrest bleeding in 60s. 3. Antitumor G1/S arrest.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN PERIODONTAL & TOOTH-FIRMING RINSE: 15 g dried bark boiled in 250 mL water with sea salt as mouthwash twice daily. Dried bark in decoction: 10-20 g daily. Topical dammar resin styptic powder dusted on cuts.
