Mechanism & Phytochemistry

1. C-glycosyl flavones (vitexin and isovitexin) inhibit a-glucosidase and stimulate peripheral glucose uptake. 2. Upregulates rhythmic uterine myometrial contractions to clear lochia. 3. Flavonoids scavenge ROS and downregulate vascular CAM-1.

Preparation & Dosage

Dried leaves boiled 20-30 minutes: 10-20 g daily. Standardized extract: 250-500 mg.
