    Cautions & Contraindications

    • CRITICAL CAUSTIC LATEX OPHTHALMIC WARNING: NEVER ALLOW LATEX TO CONTACT EYES (causes severe chemical ulceration and blindness). Ingestion of raw latex causes severe burning and vomiting. STRICTLY FORBIDDEN IN PREGNANCY.

    Clinical Applications

    • Acute suppurative otitis media (Pseudomonas/Staph ear drops), refractory cirrhotic ascites dropsy, cutaneous verrucae (wart cauterization), and deep subcutaneous abscesses.

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Roasting fresh stem over embers hydrolyzes caustic ingenol diterpenes, concentrating antibacterial friedelan-3b-ol and antiquorin that lyse ear pathogens. 2. Vinegar-processed stem activates CFTR chloride channels for ascites evacuation. 3. Keratolysis.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN HEATED SESUDU OTIC EAR DROPS (Air Batang Sesudu Bakar): Succulent stem roasted over embers, expressed clear sap: 1-2 drops instilled into ear canal twice daily for otitis media. Vinegar-processed stem (Cu Zhi): 0.5-1.5 g swallowed.
