    Traditional Edict

    Shrubby Simpoh (Simpoh Air / Xia Ke Mu). Winged petioles and star-shaped pink fruit splitting to reveal scarlet seeds. Sovereign hemostatic leaf wrap that halts bleeding cuts, knits wounds, shrinks postpartum uterus, and dissolves tumors.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Wash wild swamp leaves thoroughly before applying to open wounds. High safety profile. Contraindicated in severe Spleen deficiency cold diarrhea without heat signs. Caution in early pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Cutaneous melanoma (betulinic acid apoptosis), breast/cervical carcinoma adjuvant therapy, acute bleeding lacerations (rapid fibrin formation), chronic suppurative diabetic foot ulcers, and postpartum uterine recovery.

    Quality Markers

    Betulinic Acid >= 1.20%, Lupeol, Ellagic Acid & Condensed Tannins (HPLC MHM standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Betulinic acid induces mitochondrial membrane potential dissipation (MOMP) and triggers selective Caspase-3/9 apoptosis in melanoma and carcinoma lines. 2. High condensed tannins cross-link proteins to arrest bleeding immediately. 3. Anti-inflammatory COX-2 blockade.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN SIMPOH AIR HEMOSTATIC LEAF WRAP: Fresh clean leaves bruised or warmed, wrapped directly over bleeding lacerations, burns, and boils. Dried root/leaf decoction: 15-30 g daily. Standardized Betulinic Acid extract: 250-500 mg.
