    Cautions & Contraindications

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Curcumin competitively blocks IkappaB kinase (IKK), arresting NF-kB p65 nuclear translocation (IC50=0.85 uM) and suppressing COX-2, iNOS, and TNF-alpha. 2. Ar-turmerone stimulates neural stem cell proliferation.

    Preparation & Dosage

    ROYAL MALAYSIAN JAMU KUNYIT ASAM CONFINEMENT & ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ELIXIR: Simmer 30 g fresh grated turmeric with Tamarind pulp (Asam Jawa, 15 g) and palm sugar in 500 mL water for 20 min; drink warm daily (enhances bioavailability with black pepper). Decoction: 3 to 10 g daily.
