    Rubber Vine / Palay Rubbervine (Pokok Getah India / Xiang Pi Teng / Xiang Jiao Teng). Copious milky latex with large violet-purple trumpet flowers and 3-sided woody pods. Sovereign for Scabies & Ringworm: latex blended with coconut oil destroys Sarcoptes scabiei mites and fungal ringworm in 3 days. Internal ingestion is lethal.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • BLACK BOX LETHAL CARDIOTOXICITY WARNING: Ingestion of leaves or latex causes digitalis-like cardiac arrest and collapse. EXTERNAL USE ONLY; DO NOT APPLY OVER LARGE OPEN WOUNDS. Contraindicated in pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Sarcoptic scabies infestations (cuticular lipid layer dissolution via Lupeol >= 1.50% and Cardenolides), refractory tinea corporis, tinea pedis, and fungal eczema (ergosterol membrane disruption), and traumatic joint effusion.

    Quality Markers

    Cryptograndoside A & B (橡胶藤强心苷) >= 0.60%, Lupeol >= 1.50% & Total Cardenolides >= 1.20% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Lupeol and triterpenes dissolve the protective cuticular waxes of Sarcoptes scabiei mites, killing burrowing parasites. 2. Cryptograndosides potently inhibit Na+/K+-ATPase (IC50=0.85 uM), explaining severe cardiotoxicity on oral ingestion.

    Preparation & Dosage

    GETAH INDIA SCABIES & DERMAL MITE BALM: Blend 10 to 15 drops fresh milky latex with 30 mL virgin coconut oil and 5 g sulfur; apply strictly over scabies burrows twice daily for 3 days (eradicates mites in 48h). Traumatic joint poultice: 20 g fresh leaves pounded externally. (INTERNAL INGESTION FORBIDDEN).
