    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Natural saponin lather may cause transient eye stinging (avoid contact with eyes). Exceptional dermatological, trichological, and maternal safety profile. Safe in lactation; moderate internal doses in pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Seborrheic dermatitis and refractory scalp dandruff (Malassezia globosa fungal membrane lysis via Sebuehsaponins >= 3.50%), damp-heat jaundice and post-viral fevers (choleresis via Coptosapeltines >= 0.50%), and postpartum confinement baths.

    Quality Markers

    Triterpenoid Saponins (Sebuehsaponins) >= 3.50%, Coptosapeltines A & B >= 0.50% & Foaming Index >= 1500 (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Sebuehsaponins act as non-ionic biosurfactants, emulsifying sebum and lysing Malassezia membranes (MIC=0.25 uL/mL). 2. Coptosapeltine alkaloids stimulate biliary bile acid secretion.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE ROYAL AKAR SEBUEH NATURAL FOAMING SHAMPOO: 30 to 50 g dried sliced roots rubbed in 300 mL warm water for 2 min until dense white lather forms; massage into wet scalp for 5 min, rinse with water (clears dandruff). Postpartum bath: 50 g root slices boiled in 5.0 L water.
