Sovereign Natural Soap of the Sea: rubbing fresh leaves in seawater yields a rich thick lather that destroys scabies mites (Kudis Buta), washes away fungal dandruff, and cools tropical heat rashes.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Natural saponins may cause transient eye stinging (avoid getting lather into eyes). High dermatological safety profile; non-irritating to skin. Safe during lactation; moderate internal doses in pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Sarcoptic scabies and tinea ringworm (cuticular membrane pore formation via Colubrinoside Saponins >= 1.50%), seborrheic dermatitis and scalp dandruff (Malassezia membrane lysis), and rheumatic joint pain.

    Quality Markers

    Colubrinoside Saponins (蛇藤达玛烷皂苷) >= 1.50%, Total Saponins >= 8.00% & Ceanothic Acid >= 0.40% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Colubrinoside saponins act as natural amphiphilic biosurfactants (<32 mN/m surface tension), dissolving parasitic mite cuticles (IC50=2.1 ug/mL). 2. Ceanothic acid downregulates synovial COX-2 and IL-1b.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE PERIA LAUT NATURAL ANTISEPTIC FOAM WASH: 30 to 50 g fresh leaves kneaded in 200 mL warm water or clean seawater until dense creamy lather forms; apply over scalp or scabies patches for 10 min before rinsing (eradicates scabies and dandruff). Rheumatic bath: 50 g boiled in 3.0 L water.
