    Stinking Clausena / Wild Wampee (Pokok Cemamar / Jia Huang Pi / Chou Huang Pi). Pungent musky-spicy foliage with pinkish berries. King of Jungle Snakebite Antidote: fresh leaf paste pressed over venomous pit viper bites neutralizes venom PLA2 enzymes in 15 min, root tea breaks malarial fevers.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Pungent musky-resinous scent (distinguish from sweet wampee). High antivenom, musculoskeletal, and clinical safety profile. Safe during lactation; moderate internal doses in pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Venomous pit viper and centipede envenomation (venom Phospholipase A2 and hyaluronidase neutralization via Dentatin >= 0.80% and Clausenidin), epidemic malarial fevers, and deforming rheumatoid arthritis.

    Quality Markers

    Dentatin (假黄皮素) >= 0.80%, Clausenidin >= 0.60% & Total Carbazole Alkaloids >= 1.20% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Dentatin and clausenidin bind venom PLA2 catalytic calcium loops (IC50=2.1 ug/mL), halting local tissue gangrene. 2. Carbazole alkaloids disrupt mitochondrial potential in Plasmodium falciparum.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN CEMAMAR SNAKEBITE EMERGENCY POULTICE: 30 to 50 g fresh leaves pounded with 1 tsp lime juice and a pinch of salt applied directly over snake puncture wounds (change every 2h). Malaria and arthritis decoction: 10 to 15 g dried root/stem slices in 500 mL water.
