    Pearl Orchid / Tea-Scenting Chloranthus (Bunga Wangi Telur / Zhu Lan / Jin Su Lan). Golden millet-like floral buds with intoxicating orchid aroma. Imperial Sovereign for Scenting Pearl Orchid Tea (Zhu Lan Cha): opens chest fullness, eases gastric spasms, calms neurocardiac anxiety, dispels cold arthritis.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Aromatic volatile nature (short-steep/infuse in covered porcelain pot; do not over-boil). Exceptional clinical, neurocardiac, and culinary safety profile. Safe in pregnancy and lactation in tea amounts.

    Clinical Applications

    • Functional chest oppression and epigastric cold-distension (smooth muscle spasmolysis via Chloranthalactones), generalized anxiety disorder and nervous palpitations (olfactory-limbic anxiolysis via Linalool), and cold-damp arthritis.

    Quality Markers

    Chloranthalactones A-C >= 0.80%, Linalool, Geraniol & Total Essential Oil >= 1.20% v/w (GC-MS standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Chloranthalactones A-C relax gastrointestinal and bronchial smooth muscle (IC50=2.8 uM). 2. Volatile linalool and geraniol modulate central GABAA receptors, calming anxiety and lowering cortisol.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE ROYAL PEARL ORCHID GREEN TEA (Zhu Lan Hua Cha / 珠兰花茶): 3 to 5 g dried golden floral buds steeped with premium green tea in 300 mL hot water (85°C) for 3 min (opens chest and calms mind). Cold-rheumatism decoction: 10 to 15 g whole leafy stems in 500 mL water.
