    Cautions & Contraindications

    • BLACK BOX CYTOTOXICITY WARNING: Overdose causes severe bone marrow suppression, neutropenia, hair loss, and peripheral neuropathy. ABSOLUTELY CONTRAINDICATED IN PREGNANCY (POTENT TERATOGEN AND ABORTIFACIENT) AND LACTATION.

    Clinical Applications

    • Pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and Hodgkin's lymphoma (tubulin mitotic spindle arrest via Vincristine and Vinblastine), Type 2 Diabetes mellitus (insulin secretagogue via Vindoline), and essential hypertension (Ajmalicine).

    Quality Markers

    Vinblastine (长春花碱) >= 0.05%, Vincristine (长春新碱) >= 0.002% & Ajmalicine (阿马里新) >= 0.20% (HPLC oncology standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Vincristine binds tubulin heterodimers, inhibiting microtubule assembly into mitotic spindles during M-phase, triggering apoptosis (IC50=0.5 nM). 2. Vindoline closes Katp channels in beta-cells.

    Preparation & Dosage

    PURIFIED ONCOLOGY DRUG: Vincristine/Vinblastine are prescription IV infusions under oncological oversight. TRADITIONAL FOLK DIABETIC TEA (STRICT MICRO-DOSE): 3 to 5 g dried leaves steeped in 300 mL boiling water; drink once daily under supervision (NEVER EXCEED 6 g). Fresh leaf wound poultice: 10 to 20 g.
