    Clears toxic heat, terminates pestilence, elevates blood platelets, restrains bleeding, harmonizes Spleen to digest protein. Official Malaysian botanical antidote for Dengue thrombocytopenia.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Always remove and discard thick fibrous central petiole before crushing. STRICTLY CONTRAINDICATED in severe Papaya/Papain allergy and G6PD deficiency.

    Clinical Applications

    • Dengue fever thrombocytopenia (rapidly elevates thrombocytes in 24-48h, preventing plasma leakage), immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), and protein maldigestion.

    Carpaine (番木瓜碱) >= 0.15% & Papain/Chymopapain (IMR Malaysia Clinical Standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Upregulates ALOX12 (15-fold) and PTAFR (13-fold) genes in bone marrow megakaryocytes, stimulating megakaryocytopoiesis and platelet shedding. 2. Carpaine stabilizes erythrocyte membranes, inhibiting Dengue virus-induced hemolysis. 3. Papain digests proteins.

    Preparation & Dosage

    IMR MALAYSIAN DENGUE PROTOCOL: 2 fresh mature leaves (thick central ribs removed) pounded with 2 tbsp water, juice expressed: 30 mL twice daily for 3 consecutive days (DO NOT BOIL).
