King of Botanical Phytocortisone: topical leaf oil/ointment extinguishes atopic eczema itching in 15 min without steroid thinning.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Black seeds contain minor traces of cyanogenic glycoside Cardiospermin (avoid eating large quantities of raw seeds; leafy vines are completely non-toxic). Safe for infants, pregnancy, and sensitive facial skin.

    Clinical Applications

    • Refractory atopic dermatitis, weeping eczema, and severe pruritus (Phospholipase A2 and 5-LOX inhibition plus mast-cell stabilization via Phytosterols and Apigenin-7-glucoside >= 0.80%), contact dermatitis, and gouty arthritis.

    Quality Markers

    Apigenin-7-O-glucoside (芹菜素-7-葡萄糖苷) >= 0.80%, Rutin >= 0.60% & Total Phytosterols (Beta-Sitosterol + Stigmasterol) >= 2.20% (HPLC/GC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Beta-Sitosterol and apigenin mimic cortisone to suppress PLA2 and 5-LOX (IC50=3.4 uM), halting leukotriene LTB4. 2. Blocks calcium influx into sensitized mast cells, reducing histamine release by >75%.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN PERIA BULAN BOTANICAL CORTISONE ECZEMA OINTMENT: 100 g fresh vines infused in 200 mL virgin coconut oil at 60°C for 2 hours, melted with 25 g beeswax; applied thinly over eczema 2 to 3 times daily (stops itching in 15 min). Internal tea: 10 to 15 g dried herb boiled in 500 mL water.
