    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Rich sweet fragrance (excessive unventilated inhalation may cause mild headache in sensitive individuals). High clinical, dermatological, and maternal safety profile. Caution in severe baseline hypotension.

    Clinical Applications

    • Stage 1-2 essential hypertension and sinus tachycardia (vagal parasympathetic stimulation and eNOS vasodilation via Linalool >= 20.0% and Benzyl Benzoate), generalized anxiety disorder, and postpartum confinement aromatherapy.

    Quality Markers

    Linalool (芳樟醇) >= 20.0%-30.0%, Benzyl Benzoate >= 12.0%, Germacrene D >= 12.0% & Essential Oil >= 1.50% v/w (GC-MS standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Linalool and benzyl esters stimulate parasympathetic vagal neurotransmission, downregulating cardiac beta1-receptors to lower blood pressure. 2. Modulates GABAA receptors to reduce cortisol by >35%.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE ROYAL MALAYSIAN MANDIAN HERBA KENANGA: 30 to 50 g fresh blossoms boiled with Pandan and lemongrass in 4 L water for 15 min (bathe warm for hypertension and deep sleep). Diffuser inhalation: 3 to 5 drops pure Ylang-Ylang oil. Tea: 3 to 6 g dried petals.
