    Cautions & Contraindications

    • BLACK BOX LETHAL CARDIAC TOXICITY WARNING: Ingestion of crude latex or raw root causes fatal cardiac arrhythmias. OCULAR HAZARD: Latex in eyes causes severe corneal edema/blindness. STRICTLY CONTRAINDICATED IN PREGNANCY, PEDIATRICS, AND HEART DISEASE.

    Clinical Applications

    • Purulent furuncles, carbuncles, and blind abscesses (proteolytic debridement via Calotropain proteases), refractory spastic bronchial cold-asthma (ciliary expectoration via detoxified root micro-doses), and sarcoptic scabies.

    Quality Markers

    Calotropin (牛角瓜苷) >= 0.40%, Calactin, Uscharin & Total Cardenolides >= 1.80% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Calotropain proteolytically digests necrotic slough in boils. 2. Calotropin acts as a high-affinity cardiotonic Na+/K+-ATPase inhibitor (IC50=0.12 uM; narrow therapeutic index).

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN REMBIGA WARM LEAF POULTICE: 2 fresh leaves smeared with warm castor oil, wilted over flame, bound over blind boils or arthritic joints for 4 to 6 hours (draws pus in 12h). Detoxified root powder (Shodhita Arka milk-boiled): 0.1 to 0.3 g micro-dose daily (NEVER exceed 0.5 g). NO RAW LATEX.
