Sovereign for Closed Bone Fractures & Traumatic Bleeding: leaf/stem poultice knits fractures, internal tea halts hemorrhage and dilates asthma.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Fractures must be properly anatomically reduced before splinting. High orthopedic and hemostatic safety profile. Safe during lactation; avoid high internal doses during active pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Closed traumatic bone fractures and tendon sprains (stimulating osteoblast Runx2 transcription and collagen cross-linking via Acteoside and Flavonoids), traumatic laceration hemorrhage, and spastic bronchial asthma.

    Quality Markers

    Peduncularosides, Acteoside >= 0.80%, Callicarpone & Total Flavonoids >= 2.80% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Acteoside and flavones stimulate osteoblast alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity in healing bone calluses. 2. Peduncularosides downregulate acute traumatic COX-2 and iNOS.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN JIAN WEI FENG BONE-KNITTING POULTICE: 50 g fresh leaves and stems pounded with 1 tbsp rice wine into a warm paste; applied over reduced fractures bound with bamboo splints. Hemostatic asthma tea: 15 to 25 g dried leaves boiled in 500 mL water.
