    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Discontinue use once bleeding is completely arrested to prevent hypercoagulation. High hemostatic and clinical safety profile. Safe during postpartum confinement and lactation; avoid during early pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Postpartum uterine hemorrhage and dysfunctional uterine bleeding (Beng Lou), immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and Dengue fever thrombocytopenia (surging platelet aggregation), and bleeding gastric ulcers.

    Quality Markers

    5,4'-Dihydroxy-3,7,3'-trimethoxyflavone >= 0.80%, Callicarpone >= 0.50% & Total Flavonoids >= 3.00% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. 5,4'-Dihydroxy-3,7,3'-trimethoxyflavone accelerates thrombin generation and enhances platelet glycoprotein GPIIb/IIIa cross-linking. 2. Condensed tannins cross-link bleeding vascular walls.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN TAMPANG BESI HEMOSTATIC DECOCTION: 15 to 25 g dried leaves boiled in 500 mL water for 20 min down to $200 ext{ mL}$; taken warm immediately for acute uterine bleeding. Traumatic wound powder: dried leaves pulverized into micro-powder dusted directly onto bleeding lacerations.
