    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Callicarpenal and intermedeol activate insect olfactory receptor neurons, producing a high-potency repellent shield matching DEET. 2. Terpenoids inhibit COX-2 and promote diaphoretic antipyresis.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN BEAUTYBERRY ECO-MOSQUITO REPELLENT SPRAY: 100 g fresh leaves macerated in 200 mL pure ethanol/witch hazel for 7 days; strained extract sprayed on skin/clothing (repels mosquitoes and ticks for 4-6h). Febrifuge tea: 10 to 15 g dried leaves in 400 mL boiling water.
