    • Genuine Niu Da Li possesses beaded lotus-root-like swollen tubers with sweet starchy white flesh. Exceptional clinical, geriatric, pediatric, and culinary safety profile. Safe in pregnancy and lactation.

    Clinical Applications

    • Lumbar disc herniation, sciatica, and chronic lumbar muscle strain (MMP-13 inhibition and intervertebral chondroprotection via Maackiain >= 0.10%), chronic dry bronchitis cough, and physical asthenia.

    Maackiain (马鞍树素) >= 0.10% (HPLC Chinese Pharmacopoeia standard), Formononetin >= 0.15% & Polysaccharides >= 15.0%

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Maackiain and formononetin inhibit MMP-13 and suppress NF-kB in intervertebral disc cells (IC50=4.5 uM), halting degenerative disc breakdown. 2. Polysaccharides stimulate bronchial ciliary clearance.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN NIU DA LI LUMBAR FORTIFYING PORK TAIL SOUP: 30 to 60 g dried sliced root discs simmered with 300 g fresh pork tail, Du Zhong (15 g), and Gou Qi Zi in 1.5 L water for 2 hours (consumed weekly for back pain). Dry cough tea: 20 to 30 g boiled with Bai He.
