    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Always encapsulate powdered kernels (intensely bitter). Avoid internal medicinal megadoses in early pregnancy due to pelvic blood-activating dynamics. Safe during lactation in standard amounts.

    Clinical Applications

    • Multidrug-resistant malaria fevers (cytochrome bc1 complex inhibition via Cristacarpin >= 0.80%), primary dysmenorrhea and pelvic blood stasis (COX-2 and 5-LOX inhibition), and intestinal helminthiasis.

    Quality Markers

    Cristacarpin (华南云实素) >= 0.80%, Caesalpinins C & D >= 0.50% & Total Cassane Diterpenoids >= 2.80% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Cristacarpin selectively inhibits plasmodial mitochondrial electron transport, starving Plasmodium falciparum of ATP. 2. Cassane diterpenes suppress endometrial COX-2 and PGF2a (IC50=3.8 uM).

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN BUAH GOREK ANTIMALARIAL POWDER: 1.0 to 2.0 g roasted seed kernel powder encapsulated; taken with warm ginger water twice daily after meals (aborts malarial chills or relieves cramps). Root decoction: 10 to 20 g dried root chips boiled in 500 mL water.
