    Cochinchinese Blastus / Sun-Shower Tree (Pokok Hujan Panas / Bai La Mu). Scaly shrub with 3-5 parallel leaf veins and white flowers. Sovereign for Postpartum Confinement & Bone Healing: boiling leaves in baths expels postpartum cold (Buang Angin), flushes lochia, knits bone fractures.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Potent blood-activating and lochia-flushing actions; AVOID HIGH INTERNAL DOSES IN ACTIVE PREGNANCY. Safe and highly recommended during postpartum confinement and lactation.

    Clinical Applications

    • Postpartum uterine subinvolution and lochial stasis (stimulating myometrial contractions via Blastoside), closed bone fractures and tendon tears (osteoblast callus mineralization), and chronic enteritis.

    Blastoside A, Gallotannins >= 10.0%, Ellagic Acid & Total Flavonoids >= 2.50% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Blastoside and flavonoids stimulate myometrial contractions to clear retained lochia. 2. Gallotannins promote osteoblast ALP and Type I collagen synthesis in healing bone calluses.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN HUJAN PANAS POSTPARTUM CONFINEMENT BATH: 50 to 100 g dried leafy twigs boiled in 5 liters water for 20 min; bathe or sponge body warm daily during confinement. Bone-knitting decoction: 15 to 25 g dried roots/stems boiled in 500 mL water with rice wine.
