    Cautions & Contraindications

    • ZERO CARAMBOXIN NEUROTOXIN: Belimbing Darah belongs to Phyllanthaceae (not Oxalidaceae) and is 100% free of starfruit caramboxin neurotoxicity. Exceptional safety profile. Safe in pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Hyperlipidemia and coronary atherosclerosis (upregulating hepatic LDL receptors and inhibiting lipid peroxidation via C3G >= 4.50 mg/g), hyperuricemia and acute gouty arthritis, and NAFLD fatty liver.

    Quality Markers

    Cyanidin-3-Glucoside (C3G) >= 4.50 mg/g dry rind, Total Anthocyanins >= 12.0 mg/g & Ascorbic Acid >= 58.0 mg/100g (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Cyanidin-3-glucoside (C3G) activates hepatic AMPK and upregulates eNOS. 2. Gallic acid competitively inhibits Xanthine Oxidase (IC50=14.8 ug/mL) to block uric acid synthesis. 3. Potassium flushes urate.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN BELIMBING DARAH ANTI-GOUT TEA: 15 to 20 g dried red rinds boiled with Misai Kucing (10 g) in 600 mL water for 15 min; taken warm daily (lowers serum uric acid). Fresh juice: 100 g fresh arils/rinds blended with water and honey.
