    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Do not confuse with Melia azedarach (Sentang has entire/falcate leaflets and lower toxicity). Safe topically. Avoid high-dose internal decoctions during active pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Eco-friendly vector larvicide (Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus larval mortality via Marrangin), closed bone fractures and ligament tears, and cutaneous tinea ringworm and scabies.

    Quality Markers

    Marrangin (马朗素) >= 0.80%, Azadirachtin-type limonoids & Total Limonoids >= 2.50% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Marrangin acts as an insect growth regulator, inhibiting ecdysone synthesis and chitin formation in mosquito larvae (LC50=1.2 ppm). 2. Limonoids inhibit COX-2 and iNOS for bone trauma.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN SENTANG ECO-LARVICIDE EXTRACT: 100 g fresh leaves crushed and soaked in 1 liter water for 24 hours; strained aqueous extract poured into stagnant water tanks (kills 100% Aedes larvae). Bone fracture poultice: 50 g fresh bark pounded with rice wine.
