    Indian Mangrove / Officiate Mangrove (Api-api Ludat / Luan Ye Bai Gu Rang). Broad spoon-shaped leaves with large orange flowers. Sovereign for Drawing Deep Purulent Boils (Ubat Bisul Nanah Pekat): leaf poultice draws out pus cores within 24h, bark rinses heal aphthous ulcers, flushes UTI.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • MANDATORY FRESHWATER DESALINATION: Wash leaves in fresh water before poulticing or boiling. High dermatological and oral safety profile. Safe during lactation; moderate internal doses in pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Suppurative furuncles, carbuncles, and blind abscesses (rapid anti-inflammatory pus localization and drainage via Betulinic and Officinalic acids), recurrent aphthous stomatitis, and bacterial UTIs.

    Quality Markers

    Betulinic Acid (白桦脂酸) >= 1.00%, Officinalic Acid, Luteolin-7-O-glucoside >= 0.80% & Tannins >= 10.0% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Betulinic and officinalic acids inhibit 5-LOX and downregulate TNF-a, localizing and draining purulent boil cores. 2. Luteolin-7-glucoside inhibits oral Streptococcus mutans. 3. Diuretic flush.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN BOIL-DRAWING POULTICE (Tampalan Bisul Api-api Ludat): 30 to 50 g fresh leaves pounded with 1 tsp castor oil into a warm paste; applied over blind boils (draws pus in 24h). Aphthous mouthwash: 15 g dried bark boiled in 300 mL water with salt. Tea: 10-15 g.
