    Cautions & Contraindications

    • MANDATORY FRESHWATER DESALINATION: Wash raw mangrove plant tissue in fresh water before extraction. High safety profile. Safe during lactation; moderate internal doses during pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Acute and chronic viral icteric hepatitis (ALT/AST transaminase reduction and anti-fibrotic action via Marinoids A-J), rheumatic arthralgia and joint effusion, and cutaneous burn wound healing.

    Quality Markers

    Marinoids A-J >= 1.20%, Marinaquinone, Ursolic Acid >= 0.60% & Total Polyphenols >= 8.5% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Marinoids and iridoids upregulate endogenous GSH and SOD, protecting hepatocytes against lipid peroxidation. 2. Marinaquinones lyse MRSA and Pseudomonas (MIC=15.6 ug/mL). 3. Anti-rheumatic.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN API-API JAMBUL HEPATITIS DECOCTION: 15 to 20 g desalinated dried bark chips boiled in 600 mL water for 25 min; taken warm twice daily for 14 days (normalizes liver transaminases). Joint wash: 50 g leaves boiled in 1 L water with sea salt.
