    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Consume fully ripe dark-purple/black berries for sweet-sour medicinal efficacy (unripe green berries are intensely acidic). Exceptional nutritional, hepatoprotective, and pediatric safety profile.

    Clinical Applications

    • Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD / hepatic steatosis reduction via C3G and Corilagin), Type 2 Diabetes mellitus (alpha-glucosidase inhibition), dyslipidemia, and chronic diarrhea.

    Quality Markers

    Cyanidin-3-O-glucoside (C3G) >= 2.50%-4.00%, Corilagin >= 1.20% & Total Anthocyanins >= 15.0 mg GAE/100g (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Cyanidin-3-glucoside (C3G) activates hepatic AMPK and downregulates SREBP-1c, accelerating hepatic fatty acid beta-oxidation. 2. Ellagitannins inhibit carbohydrate digestion. 3. Antioxidant.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN BUNI HEPATIC DETOX & GLYCEMIC ELIXIR: 50 to 100 g fresh ripe black Buni berries blended into juice (or 20 g dried leaves boiled in 400 mL water for 15 min); consumed daily for fatty liver and glucose control. Astringent bark tea: 15 g for diarrhea.
