Cautions & Contraindications
- Undissolved fresh fruit raw juice contains active bromelain that stings oral mucosa (dip in light saltwater before eating). Contraindicated in active peptic ulceration and bleeding disorders.

- Post-surgical hematoma and edema resolution, acute sinusitis, sports soft-tissue trauma, enzymatic burn debridement, and osteoarthritic knee pain.

Mechanism & Phytochemistry
1. Stem bromelain (cysteine endopeptidases) cleaves fibrin clots, downregulates bradykinin and PGE2, and accelerates microvascular lymphatic drainage. 2. Downregulates leukocyte migration in acute inflammation. 3. Proteolytically debrides necrotic eschars without harming viable tissue.
Preparation & Dosage
Fresh ripe fruit/juice: 50-100 g daily. Standardized enteric-coated Stem Bromelain (2400 GDU/g): 500-1000 mg daily on empty stomach for systemic anti-inflammatory action.
