Undisputed Sovereign for Acute Suppurative Mastitis (Bengkak Susu): fresh leaf poultice draws purulent heat from engorged breast abscesses, while root tea flushes burning UTI dysuria.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Handle spiny wild plants with thick gloves. High clinical, maternal, and pediatric safety profile. SAFE and highly recommended topically during lactation for engorged mastitis.

    Clinical Applications

    • Acute puerperal mastitis and breast abscesses (rapid anti-inflammatory pus drawing via Amaranthine and Rutin), acute lower urinary tract infections (UTI / burning dysuria), and bleeding hemorrhoids.

    Quality Markers

    Amaranthine (苋菜红素) >= 0.50%, Rutin >= 1.20%, a-Spinasterol & Potassium Nitrate >= 3.0% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Flavonoids and betalains downregulate macrophage iNOS and IL-1b, accelerating neutrophil clearance of purulent mastitis indurations. 2. Natural potassium nitrate (>3%) elevates urine flow by >40% to purge bacteria.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN BAYAM DURI MASTITIS POULTICE (Tampalan Bayam Duri Bengkak Susu): 100 g fresh leaves pounded with sea salt into a cooling paste; applied over swollen breast abscesses (avoiding nipple) twice daily. Burning UTI tea: 30 to 50 g fresh roots boiled in 600 mL water.
