    Tit-Berry / Cobbe Tree (Pokok Tumpat / Dada Rusa / Jiao Mu). Serrated 3-foliolate leaves and bright scarlet berry clusters. Dual Sovereign for Postpartum Febrifuge Baths (Mandian Daun Tumpat) and Dysentery: cools puerperal fevers, relieves pelvic chills, and plugs explosive diarrhea.

    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Allow initial toxic evacuation in acute high-fever dysentery before heavy astringent doses. High clinical, maternal, and postpartum safety profile. Safe in lactation and confinement.

    Clinical Applications

    • Acute infectious diarrhea and bacillary dysentery (bactericidal lysis against Shigella via Allophylin and Condensed Tannins >= 8.0%), postpartum maternal thermal recovery baths, and weeping ulcer healing.

    Quality Markers

    Allophylin (异株木素 / Flavone glucoside) >= 0.80%, Epicatechin & Condensed Tannins >= 8.0% (HPLC standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Ellagitannins cross-link enterocyte glycoproteins, blocking enterotoxins and fluid hypersecretion. 2. Allophylin lyses Shigella and Salmonella membranes. 3. Bathwater flavonoids stimulate peripheral vasodilation.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN POKOK TUMPAT MATERNAL BATH: 150 to 200 g fresh leaves boiled with Vitex negundo (Lemuni) and lemongrass in 5 L water for maternal confinement baths. Dysentery decoction: 20 to 30 g dried bark chips boiled in 500 mL water for 20 min.
