    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Melt resin completely in oil before applying to skin. High clinical, topical, and musculoskeletal safety profile. Safe in lactation; safe topically and for inhalation in pregnancy.

    Clinical Applications

    • Knee osteoarthritis and synovial joint effusion (downregulating COX-2 and 5-LOX via Agathic Acid), chronic asthmatic bronchitis (mucolytic bronchodilation via a-Pinene steam), and tropical ulcers.

    Quality Markers

    Agathic Acid (贝壳杉酸) >= 15.0%-25.0%, a-Pinene >= 35.0% & Total Labdane Diterpenoid Resins >= 75.0% (HPLC/GC-MS)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Agathic acid competitively blocks COX-2 and 5-LOX, suppressing PGE2 and LTB4 in inflamed synovium. 2. Inhaled a-pinene and limonene stimulate bronchial mucociliary clearance. 3. Antiseptic film.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN DAMAR MINYAK ARTHRITIS BALM: 50 g pure Damar Minyak resin melted in 150 mL warm virgin coconut oil with beeswax and camphor; massaged warm over arthritic knees. Balsamic steam inhalation: 5 g crushed resin in 500 mL boiling water for 10 min.
