    Cautions & Contraindications

    • Never boil open (preserves blue chamazulene and volatile monoterpenes). CONTRAINDICATED in active pregnancy (uterine-stimulating and emmenagogue dynamics). Safe during lactation.

    Clinical Applications

    • Traumatic hemorrhage and bleeding lacerations (shortening clotting time and accelerating fibrin formation via Achilleine), primary spasmodic dysmenorrhea (myometrial relaxation via Apigenin), and hemorrhoids.

    Quality Markers

    Chamazulene (洋甘菊蓝 in blue oil) >= 0.020%, Achilleine (蓍草碱) >= 0.15% & Flavonoids >= 1.50% (EP/BHP standard)

    Mechanism & Phytochemistry

    1. Achilleine stimulates intrinsic thromboplastin generation, shortening clotting time by >40% to seal bleeding cuts. 2. Deep-blue chamazulene and apigenin block myometrial calcium influx, abolishing menstrual cramps.

    Preparation & Dosage

    THE SOVEREIGN DAUN SERIBU WOUND STYPTIC SALVE: 50 g dried flowering tops macerated in 200 mL warm olive oil (3h), blended with 30 g natural beeswax into salve for cuts and burns. Dysmenorrhea tea: 5 to 10 g dried herb steeped in 300 mL boiling water in covered pot.
